Measure and mark the head and foot holes in the adjacent outer edge of your 4×4 poles. Put all your pieces on the floor and check your work. When you are sure that your marks are good, make the holes in the 4×4 posts and the lateral planks. Attach the side planks to the stud poles. Then, drill holes in the 4×4 posts on the part of the head and feet and attach the head and feet to the posts with the bolts. Cut half-ply plywood to fit perfectly on top of planks.
