Staircase Bunk Bed Ideas

Staircase bunk bed – Create a bunk bed with a staircase that makes a device safer than using a ladder. Measuring and drawing the construction will not be too difficult, but the mounting of the bunk unit requires patience. All components must support the staircase and bedside for both beds, especially if messy children or teens will sleep there. Be sure to use a wood finish or paint colors that create the desired artistic result as this project is likely to be the focus of a bedroom.

Make staircase bunk bed. Measure mattresses you will use to begin the basic frame design. Plan a single bed over a double bed, or design a double bed over a full bed, for example. Buy a bunk bed building plan, as an alternative. Consider a twin mattress those measures close to 3 1/2 meters wide by 6 1/2 meters long. Draw the bed design by planning the staircase leading up to one end that will measure 24 inches wide by 1 foot between the steps. Build the basic framework for application plywood as a platform underneath each mattress. Cut two boards, each two by 6 inches, with a circular saw. Make them 88 inches long, for example. Cut two boards, each 2 by 6 inches, which is 48 inches tall as well. Do not grind the corners because the corners need bulk for strength.
